2018 NYS Recovery Conference

The theme of this year’s conference was “The Journey to Recovery Wellness: Home, Health, Community and Practice.”
The Staff Picnic was a great success. We had 3 raffle winners for the Boat Cruise. Poster boards were created by each department describing their programs in a fun way. Other gifts were raffled as well. Games and activities took place, and a delicious lunch was had by all. It was a beautiful sunny day at Tremont Park for VIP.
National Night Out
VIP Community Services participates in a “National Night Out” to honor and serve the Bronx community. This annual event promotes community and police partnership and was particularly emotional because it highlighted the loss of local teenager Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, who was brutally killed at the hands of the alleged Trinatarios gang.
