VIP Community Services attends NA Convention
On February 17, 2018, Janet Camacho, our Clinical Supervisor from the OTP Clinic, together with Sadie Billinger, Patient Advocate, and Ronald Johnson, Clinical Counselor, accompanied a busload of patients to a Narcotics Anonymous Convention at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, New York. It was a fun filled inspirational event for the patients. Through their participation in meetings and sharing with others in recovery, they learned about the resources and support systems available. They also were treated to a “recovery play” which inspired them to continue their participation to meet their treatment goals.
Community Planning Board #6 Meeting at VIP Community Services
On February 14, 2018, our local Community Planning Board #6 held a general board meeting at 764 East 176 Street. The meeting was well attended by the community as well as by representatives from the offices of our elected officials.
New York City Mural Arts Project
VIP Community Services members cut the ribbon with Commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett, artist Tova Snyder, and elected officials to celebrate the first installment of the New York City Mural Arts Project. Three murals in the Bronx and Manhattan will promote community engagement and health awareness.
