Communications Specialist

POSITION TITLE:   Communications Specialist

REPORTS TO:   Chief Strategy Officer

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating communications activities. Supports Chief Strategy Officer and other senior staff to create content for various communications activities to engage external stakeholders and agency employees in the mission and vision of VIP Community Services


  • Review and create agency literature and other forms of communication
  • Coordinate, review and develop marketing and other VIP materials, both print and electronic
  • Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications as needed and to ensure uniform content, look and feel of key communications tools


  • BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
  • Proven experience as communications specialist
  • Experience in social media a plus
  • Experience in copywriting and editing
